60년대 한국건축을 대표하는 모뉴멘트적인 작품으로 군사정부 초기에 결성된 아세아 반공연맹을 위한 본관으로 설계되었다. 현재는 한국반공연맹 청사 및 국토통일원 부설연구소 등의 관련 단체들이 사용하고 있다. 노출콘크리트로서 열주 위에 얹혀진 다이나믹한 지붕의 볼륨감이 기념적 표현으로 강하게 어필한다. 동시에 깊은 처마와 열주는 건축이 만드는 음영의 극적 효과를 느끼게 하며 매우 정교하게 디자인된 건축적 어휘들이 많이 사용되었다.
The building is a monument shich represents Korean architecture of the 1960’s. it was designed as a headquarter for the Asian Union of Anti-Communism shich was formed of government. Now it is the building of the Korean Union of Anti-Communism and it is also used by research institute of the Ministry of National Reunification and other related groups. The volume of the dynamic roof on a line of pillars, which are made of exposed concrete, stresses the symbolic image of the building. At the same time the deep eaves and the line of pillars give a dramatic effect of shadow and an exquisite design.
