Careful consideration was given to planning of this museum that would be situated inside the Chinju Castle, located along the Nam River in Chinju in order not to destroy the scenery of the castle. Thus, the scale off the museum was downsized so that its posture can be viewed relatively lower than its surrounding views.
The basic structural outlook necessary for constructing a building was also laid out in a single roof. As a result, the roof is devided in lines. Chinju stones were primarily used so that the museum itself can be felt as one element of the natural scenery. The inner layout brings in tourists from its two halls onto the 2nd floor and from there the space is connected back to the 1st floor.
